1. Who we are
Creative Explainers ("we", "us", "our") is an explainer video studio, operated by CreativeLimit Studio, which works from the United States and the United Kingdom. We run the website creativeexplainers.com (the "Site"). For the personal information described in this policy, we are the "controller" (the party that decides how and why it is used).
Questions about privacy? Email hello@creativeexplainers.com.

4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. On this Site we may use:
- Analytics cookies (for example Google Analytics) to see which pages are popular and how people find us. We use these only with your permission where the law requires it.
- Advertising cookies (the Meta Pixel) to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested. We use these only if you accept them.
- Video player cookies. Our videos are hosted on services like YouTube or Vimeo. We load the player only when you press play, and that service may then set its own cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the Site may not work as expected. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept, reject or customise non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings icon on the Site.
5. Services that help us run the Site
We use trusted providers who process information on our behalf, under their own privacy terms:
- Formspree to receive messages sent through our forms
- Calendly to book calls
- WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose to message us there
- Google Analytics for Site statistics
- Meta Pixel (Meta Ads) to measure and run our advertising
- Google Fonts to display our typefaces (your IP address is sent to Google when fonts load)
- YouTube or Vimeo to play videos
- Website hosting and email providers, to run the Site and our inbox
6. Who we share your information with
We share personal information only with:
- The service providers listed above, and freelancers or partners who help produce your project (such as voice artists), only as needed and under confidentiality obligations.
- Accountants, lawyers and other professional advisers.
- Authorities, courts or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or safety.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is ever sold or merged. We would tell you first if this changed how your information is used.
We do not sell your personal information for money. If you accept advertising cookies, Meta receives information about your visit so we can measure and show our ads. Some US state laws call this "sharing" for targeted advertising, and you can opt out at any time in our cookie settings. Your project materials stay confidential. We use them only to deliver your project, and we show finished work in our portfolio only with your permission.
7. Transfers to other countries
Our providers may handle information in countries other than your own. When we transfer information from the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where the law requires them.
8. How long we keep your information
- Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 24 months.
- Project files: during the project and for 1 year after it ends. Project communications: during the project and for 2 years after it ends. We delete them sooner if you ask.
- Invoices and financial records: as long as tax law requires, usually up to 7 years.
- Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or anonymise it.
9. How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and trusted providers. No system is completely secure, so if you think your information has been put at risk, please contact us straight away. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authority where the law requires us to.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Ask us to limit how we use it, or object to certain uses.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents: you can ask what personal information we collect, use and disclose, ask us to delete or correct it, and you will not be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out at any time in our cookie settings.
To use any of these rights, email hello@creativeexplainers.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within one month (or sooner if your local law requires).
11. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not aimed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
The Site may link to other websites, including our parent studio, social media and embedded videos. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
